Lucy’s House is a holiday apartment in Parzanica, a small village on the western shore of Lake Iseo at approximately 600 metres above sea level. The elevation is the whole point. From the terrace, Monte Isola — Europe’s largest lake island — sits directly in front of you, framed by water and mountains, close enough that you can watch the light change across it from breakfast to dinner.

The apartment is well laid out: a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, and a generous living area with sofa bed (for 2 additional guests) and a fully equipped kitchen. The induction hob, oven, espresso machine and toaster are all there. Fast Wi-Fi with a workspace suitable for remote work. The terrace is furnished with table and chairs — and a charcoal BBQ that guests use every evening and mention in review after review.

The shared pool is within the residence complex, clean and rarely crowded. Public parking is available outside the complex; a garage is also available — see the note below before deciding whether to use it.

The Balcony. The BBQ. Monte Isola in Front of You.

The defining experience of Lucy’s House is the evening on the terrace. The view is directly onto the lake and Monte Isola — an orientation that multiple guests from Poland, Denmark, Germany and Italy have described as impossible to put into words. The charcoal BBQ is on the balcony, and guests use it. Claudine from Germany used it every night for three consecutive evenings in June. Davide noted it as one of the standout features after a stay in August.

The pool is a bonus on top of this — clean, not crowded, with the kind of access that feels genuinely easy rather than managed. After a day exploring the lake by car, coming back to this combination is exactly what guests come for.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

🚗 The garage Multiple guests have noted that the garage is in a difficult position — approximately 60 metres of reverse driving on a non-straight slope. Public parking is available directly outside the complex and works perfectly well. Our team warns guests about this in advance and sends a video. If you prefer to avoid the garage entirely, you can — the external parking has never caused problems for guests who use it.

❄️ No air conditioning Lucy’s House does not have air conditioning. In June, July and August this is worth considering — the elevated position (600m) means temperatures are lower than the lakefront, but the apartment can be warm in high summer without a way to cool it. Several guests mention this. The terrace and the pool are the answer on warm evenings.

🌡️ Heating in spring and autumn A small number of guests have mentioned difficulty with the heating in cooler months. Worth raising with our team before arrival if you’re visiting in March, April, October or November.

📍 Isolated location — car essential Parzanica is a quiet hillside village. There are no restaurants, shops or services within easy walking distance. A car is not just useful here — it is essential for everything beyond the apartment itself. The lake shore and surrounding villages are 15 minutes by car.

Check-in The check-in process is self-service with detailed instructions sent in advance. Some guests have described it as elaborate. Our team has noted this and works to keep the instructions as clear as possible. If anything is unclear, Janeth is reachable directly.

Parzanica is a small hilltop village on the western shore of Lake Iseo, approximately 600 metres above sea level. It is not on the tourist circuit — the guests who stay at Lucy’s House are almost always the only visitors in the village. The residence sits within a quiet, private complex of holiday apartments owned by a mix of vacationers and locals.

From the apartment, everything requires a car. That is not a complaint — it is the nature of a position at this elevation. The lake shore is 15 minutes down. Lovere to the north is 20 minutes. Sarnico to the south is 25 minutes. Monte Isola by ferry is 20 minutes from Sulzano.
